Female #1 "Caloosa" is available.

Caloosa's
socialization skills:  She has already experienced people of all ages from 3 years old to 73 years old!  This will continue.
She enjoys interacting with people indoors and outdoors.  She is very adventurous.
She loves exploring and experiencing different textures to carry and hold.
The newest favorite is metal keys.  Rubber, cloth, plastic, leather, wood, metal, outdoor vegetation (rocks, grass, wood chips, bushes, coconuts, spathes, fronds) have been part of her taste bud curiosity.
She is very Vocal.
She has experienced living and playing in a variety of areas:
 the whole house (almost)...dog room, guest bath, living, dining, kitchen, master suite and bath,  noises encountered on a routine basis;
vacuum cleaner...blender-grinding their kibble...pots and pans make nice music ;) Chow time music...doors opening and closing (slamming with the wind and by me)...
Underfoot indoors:  newspaper, heavy plastic tarp, linoleum, rugs, wood.
Indoors she began experiencing playing w/squeaky toys, tug rags, balls, leather tugs, cloth tugs  (on the ground and hanging from a clothesline) and climbing on the A-Frame.
Outdoors she played with the same as indoors and climbed the wood a-frame to the kiddie pool, romp on the grass (if you can call it grass-nothing like up north-more ants than grass).

She loves to go through the green tunnel (below).  She is very athletic.

She has experienced stairs with landings and elevators.  She is very curious and willing to try the most challenging experiences.

Female #1 "Caloosa" is available to a Working Home.

She is learning attention, loose leash walking, sit, down, meeting and greeting people and dogs.

She loves to dig giant holes all over the yard.

Caloosa is currently attending Breed Handling Classes.
Caloosa has been training in Human Remains Scent Imprinting.   She is doing very well and we are working on her passive indication.  She Enjoys Working.   She shows great potential in Agility and she has Herding Ability.   Show Ring Obedience seems to come easy for her she loves to please.

Please do not hesitate to inquire and I will give you contacts of people who have or know of someone who has youth/adult dogs available.

"Angus"
2005
One and a Half Year old Giant Schnauzer:  Born in Maine, traveled to Colorado, then back to Maine...Now living in Rhode Island with his mate.  Angus is his new name. He was going to be placed in a shelter if he wasn't fostered.  Suzannah Dickinson had space to foster this Pepper/Salt Giant Schnauzer.  In addition she evaluated him and evaluated prospective new owners.  Photos:  1,2,3, when he arrived.  4,5 after a full body shave. 6,7 with new owner Glenn.

"Simon"
2004

A six month old mini schnauzer was left to roam the streets.  He was found by a chiropractor on a busy highway.  After checking with all area businesses and knocking on the doors of local residents, no-one claimed this little boy.

While I was training, my trainer received a call in reference to homeless Simon.  Richard and I decided if we can breed we can foster.  We decided to take this abandoned pup until he is placed in a permanent home.

The woman who found Simon, brought him to a local pet store for a collar and leash, then she brought him to her friend/groomer for a quick clean-up.

Getting acquainted :) It took two days to get Simon to understand crates are good...He was very vocal.

His personality with people and dogs was A+, he enjoyed rides in the vehicle, he didn't mind the vet (even though she poked him with a needle).

I checked with all the local mini schnauzer rescues, dog pounds, and even had the local animal control officer check him for a microchip.  I gave it 30 days to see if someone would claim him before I placed him in a permanent home.

Simon went to a wonderful home, has an older dog for a Nanny and cats for playmates.  He lives with two adults and they have nieces and nephews who live next door in a fenced yard to play in.

His owner enrolled him in training classes.  Basic Manners and now Beyond the Basics (Cross is enrolled in this same class 1/10/05).

We are very pleased he was adopted  by a person who understands schnauzers.  He goes to the groomer on a regular basis.  He has been neutered.  Simon enjoys going for rides in the car everywhere.  He is still very vocal.  Every night he rearranges his adobe :) he takes all his bedding out just around the time it is for him to be put up for the night.
